Despite the rain, Fort Hamilton Tigers prevailed through the tumultuous weather for their homecoming game on September 28, 2024. Winning 32-20, the football team launched their way into a successful season.
As cheerleaders kept the crowd enthusiastic, the band filled the crowd with school spirit as they played tunes like “Eye of The Tiger.”
Each touchdown scored by Fort Hamilton left an excited energy in the air as the crowd cheered, both proud and hopeful for the Fort Hamilton football team.
During halftime, Mr. Alvear, activities coordinator, crowned Homecoming Prince, Julian Molina, Homecoming Princess Patrycja Poliwka, Homecoming King Jaden Waltuch, and Homecoming Queen Evelyn Galicia. The cheerleaders performed a dance routine as spectators continued to brave through the rain in support of the team.
For this homecoming game, the team decided to honor the last Fort Hamilton team that made it to the championships. “We proudly welcomed back the 2010 champions at halftime during Tigers Homecoming! Your legacy continues to inspire the next generation,” they said.
With a successful end to this year’s homecoming game, the football team is looking forward to continuing a successful season. By practicing consistently and always persevering, the team hoped to achieve a legacy similar to that of the 2010 champions.
